Misson of the GSLJC

GSLJC Mission: To provide a fun family sport within Jefferson County neighborhoods where entire families can become involved.

The GSLJC is comprised of teams from the following areas Alameda/Green Mountain, Arvada, Bear Creek, Golden, Lakewood, South Jeffco, West Jeffco, and Wheat Ridge. Individual leagues have their own registration information.

GSLJC Facts:

  • We are a recreational girl’s softball league.
  • Teams are created by age-group, for kids from kindergarten through high school.
  • All of our games are between other teams in the county, so travel is limited!
  • Our softball fields are located in neighborhoods throughout the county, never far from players’ homes.
  • Practice begins in early April.
  • Our season runs mid-May through Mid-July.
  • Even if you play soccer or other sports, you can also play softball!
  • Parents are encouraged to get involved, coaching, umpiring, refereeing, or through other volunteer positions.
  • The League has been in existence since 1952, for more than 60 years!
  • There are limited college scholarships available to players.
  • We also support competitive softball by offering league play to B teams.
